Product Details
We're on a tight budget, so we really wanted to move from bottles to a home water filter, but some of the systems cost more than we wanted to spend. What to do??? I went to a play date for my 3-year-old at a friend's house the other day and they had this system. I tasted some water and it was very good. When my son exclaimed that he LOVED the taste, too, I knew we had to get one.I really like this unit. It looks very stylish. We went with the chrome plated system because of cost even though chrome is a coating and it will probably get scratched over time, unlike the stainless steel that is only a few dollars more.
I also like the size of this system for my countertop. It is not too big, yet it filters well with the dual filters. I also love the flow rate of the water as I am never waiting to get my glass or any sport bottle filled. It's really quick and the filters are NSF rated so you know they will perform.
The two minor negatives with this system are 1) it only has two filters to get rid of the bad stuff from my water. The more filters, the cleaner my water will be. It is a tradeoff - the size of the unit vs the number of filters. For me, I have a small countertop, so I went with the two filter system rather than the three filter. If you have the space though, go with the triple filter system from Polar Water Filters. The other negative with this unit, is something normal for all countertop systems 2) the fact that when I turn off the tap, the water keeps flowing a bit out of the filter's faucet. It is not that bad, just something to be aware of in choosing where to locate your system on the counter, preferably near the sink.
Overall, this system gets an A grade from the eFilterWater review.
